How do our feelings influence our perception of the world? How do emotions guide our judgments and behaviors even when we lack conscious access to them? What role does the body play in our experience of emotion and how might changes in the body causally drive emotion-relevant behaviors? Our research examines these questions using approaches grounded in the behavioral paradigms of social and cognitive psychology but that borrows heavily from the methodologies of vision science and peripheral psychophysiology.
